Transaction-based video monitoring, proprietary Face Parking facial recognition through tinted windows, 98% OCR LPR cameras, mobile validation app with five discount types, retail POS integration, and a full server licensing suite. Every platform built and supported by Automated Machines.
The monitoring platform is the operations center for your parking facility. It aggregates every access event, payment transaction, alert, and camera feed into a single browser-based dashboard. There is no dedicated workstation required: operators access it from any device on the local network or remotely through a secure connection.
Every transaction is linked to its video clip at the moment of the event. Dispute resolution takes seconds instead of hours: an operator searches by plate number, date, or lane, and the monitoring platform retrieves the exact entry video, exit video, and payment photo with timestamps and LPR data. Evidence is exportable for incident reports or law enforcement requests.
NIR sensors penetrate automotive tinting that blocks standard cameras
Plate read and face identification occur simultaneously in a single pass
No driver interaction required: identification is passive at normal approach speed
Face Parking is proprietary technology developed exclusively by Automated Machines. No other access control manufacturer offers this capability. The system is built for facilities where knowing who is driving matters as much as knowing which vehicle entered.
Standard cameras fail against tinted automotive glass because visible light is attenuated by the film. NIR sensors operate at a wavelength that passes through most automotive tinting, making the driver's face visible even in dark-tinted vehicles that would otherwise be opaque to a standard camera.
The result is a dual identification record per transaction: the license plate and the driver's face are captured together. If a registered subscriber's vehicle enters but the driver does not match the registered operator, the system generates an alert for immediate review.
The LPR camera (model UP-LPR101V2) uses character-based optical character recognition. Rather than matching plate images against a library of country-specific templates, the system reads each character individually. This means a plate from Hawaii, Ontario, Baja California, or Germany is handled identically, with no firmware update or region configuration change required.
At 98% recognition accuracy, fewer than 2 in 100 transactions require manual intervention. The camera operates from full sunlight to 0.01 lux with four high-power white LEDs for nighttime capture. IP65 weatherproof rating covers rain, dust, and temperature extremes from -35C to +70C, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor lane installations.
The camera installs inside the barrier housing, where it is protected from tampering and weather. Alternatively it can be mounted externally for wider capture angles at high-speed approaches. A 32GB MicroSD card buffers reads locally if the network is interrupted, preventing data loss.
The Validation App is used by store tenants, retail staff, and event hosts to grant discounted or free parking to their customers. Available on Android and Windows, the app connects directly to the parking access control system over the local network or an internet connection.
A validator scans the customer's parking ticket QR code or enters their license plate number. The app instantly applies the configured discount to that transaction. The vehicle exits without needing to visit the automated payment station when a full free pass is applied.
Each business or tenant in the facility gets their own login with independently configured permissions. An operator can assign which discount types each tenant may use, set a daily usage limit per plate to prevent abuse, and view usage reports by tenant.
Grants a fixed number of free minutes. After the free period expires, standard rates apply. The most common validation type for retail tenants granting a 1-hour or 2-hour courtesy period.
Applies a percentage reduction to the calculated parking fee. For example, a 50% discount reduces a $10 charge to $5. The customer still pays at the APS, but at the discounted rate.
Overrides the standard rate structure with a fixed price for the validated parking period. Useful for event pricing, VIP rates, or promotional flat-rate parking.
Limits the maximum amount the customer pays, regardless of duration. For example, a $5 cap means the customer never pays more than $5 even for a full-day stay. Standard rates apply up to the cap amount.
100% free exit. The vehicle exits without any payment interaction at the APS. The barrier opens automatically. Used for VIP guests, employees, service vehicles, or full courtesy parking campaigns.
Retail POS integration connects the parking access control system directly to the checkout terminals in your store. When a customer makes a purchase, the cashier enters the customer's license plate number or scans the parking ticket QR code at the register. The store's POS system sends a discount or payment authorization to the parking platform in real time.
The customer drives to the exit, the LPR camera reads their plate, and the barrier opens automatically because the transaction is already resolved. There is no stop at the automated payment station and no separate validation step required. For retail tenants, this eliminates the friction that leads to validation abandonment and negative customer experiences.
Automatic discounts based on purchase amount are supported: spend over $50 and receive 1 hour free, spend over $100 and receive 2 hours free. Thresholds and discount values are configured per store in the parking management platform and can be updated remotely without visiting the site.
Monthly parkers and permit holders enter and exit without tickets, without stopping, and without payment interaction. Their plate is their credential.

Open or lock any barrier from the monitoring dashboard or from your phone. Every remote action is logged with operator name, timestamp, lane, and reason code. No need to dispatch a technician for a simple assistance request.
Each access and payment event is linked to a synchronized video clip. Resolve a customer dispute in under 30 seconds by pulling the entry video, LPR photo, and payment record for any transaction. No manual timeline scrubbing required.
The platform monitors every connected device continuously. An offline console, a jammed printer, a failed payment terminal, or a camera error generates an immediate alert with the affected device, fault type, and time. Proactive diagnostics prevent unplanned downtime.
The reports server tracks revenue by lane, payment method, period, and tenant validation. Occupancy trends, peak hours, and turnover rates are available on demand. Management reports export to PDF or CSV for weekly and monthly reviews.
Separate permission levels for operators, supervisors, and administrators. Operators can open barriers and pull video. Supervisors can manage rates and validations. Administrators control user accounts, system configuration, and license management.
Included at no additional cost with every installation. The AI module monitors system health 24/7, generates proactive diagnostic reports, and sends alerts before a component failure affects operations. Integrated with the monitoring server license.
Transaction-based video recording links each parking event (entry, exit, payment) to a synchronized video clip from the relevant camera. Instead of reviewing hours of continuous footage, operators search by plate number, date, time, or lane and retrieve the exact video segment. This is used for dispute resolution, fraud investigation, and security incidents. The monitoring platform indexes all events automatically, so no manual tagging is required.
Face Parking is proprietary technology exclusive to Automated Machines. It uses Near-Infrared (NIR) sensors instead of standard visible-light cameras. NIR light penetrates tinted automotive glass that would otherwise block the driver's face. The system identifies the driver and simultaneously reads the license plate, creating a dual identification record. It generates an alert when the detected driver does not match the registered operator of a subscriber vehicle. All biometric data handling includes full privacy compliance documentation.
The LPR camera (model UP-LPR101V2) uses character-based OCR recognition, reading individual characters rather than relying on plate-format templates. This allows recognition of plates from any country, including all US states and territories, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Asia, without firmware changes or region-specific configuration. Recognition accuracy is 98%, and the camera operates day and night down to 0.01 lux with IP65 weatherproof rating.
The Validation App supports five discount types: free time (fixed free minutes), discount (percentage reduction), special rate (fixed override price), maximum cap (limits the maximum amount paid regardless of duration), and free pass (100% free exit without any payment). Each tenant or retailer gets independent permissions and can be assigned one or more discount types. A daily usage limit per plate prevents validation abuse.
Retail POS integration connects the parking access control system directly to the store's checkout terminals. When a customer makes a purchase, the cashier enters the customer's plate or scans their parking QR ticket, and the store's POS sends a discount or payment authorization to the parking system. The customer drives to the exit and the LPR camera reads their plate; the barrier opens automatically because the transaction is already resolved. This eliminates APS queues for store customers.
The Subscribers module (ref LSCMCG-2, $700 per console) manages permit holders and monthly parkers. Each subscriber's license plate, permit category, validity period, and access schedule is stored in the system. When a subscriber's vehicle approaches, the LPR camera reads the plate, validates it against the subscriber database, and the barrier opens automatically without a ticket or payment. Supports multiple permit categories including monthly, weekly, time-of-day, and zone-restricted permits.
Yes. Authorized operators can open any barrier from the monitoring dashboard or from a mobile phone. The remote open action is logged with operator name, timestamp, lane, and reason code. Operators can also lock a barrier remotely during a security incident. This capability eliminates the need for on-site staff to manually release a barrier for every assistance request, reducing response time and staffing requirements.
