Automated Machines entry and exit consoles combine a 1000-nit sunlight-readable LCD display, integrated QR ticket printer or reader, Mifare card reader, HD audit camera, and 24 GHz microwave presence sensor into a single IP56-rated enclosure. Available in 8-inch, 17-inch, and 21-inch screen sizes with galvanized or stainless steel construction. Starting at $3,250.
Entry and exit consoles are the driver-facing terminals at each lane of your parking facility. The entry console greets each arriving vehicle: a 24 GHz microwave sensor detects the vehicle at a distance of 1 to 20 feet (0.3 to 6 m), prompts the driver on the LCD touchscreen, and dispenses a QR-coded paper ticket that records the precise entry timestamp. The exit console reads the paid QR ticket, confirms payment with the central server, and sends the open command to the barrier arm. Both units operate continuously without an on-site attendant, allowing your staff to focus on other tasks.
All console models share the same internal platform: a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor running the Automated Machines access control software, 5 GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and wired Gigabit Ethernet via an integrated 8-port PoE switch. The thermal ticket printer runs at 250 mm/second using standard 80 mm rolls. A 5 W audio speaker provides spoken prompts and alerts, and the screen doubles as a high-brightness advertising and informational display when idle. Enclosures are manufactured in-house and available in traffic-yellow galvanized steel (Base) or brushed stainless steel (Plus), with custom paint or vinyl wrap available on request.
All models include the same feature set. Screen size and enclosure material are the only differences between variants.
The Console 21 uses a standard-brightness 21-inch LCD panel. Intended for covered or indoor parking structures only. Not suitable for direct sunlight exposure.

The Console 8 and Console 17 use high-contrast LCD panels rated at 1000 nits with full anti-condensation lamination. The display remains fully legible under direct midday sun, eliminating driver frustration at outdoor lanes. The Console 21 is optimized for covered indoor structures where ambient light is controlled.
The entry console prints QR-coded paper tickets at 250 mm per second using standard 80 mm thermal rolls. Each ticket encodes the entry lane, timestamp, and a unique session identifier. The exit console reads the returned ticket via an integrated QR scanner to confirm payment before authorizing the barrier arm to open.
Every console includes a Mifare ISO/IEC 14443 reader for subscriber and monthly permit access. Card-holding customers tap their card or NFC-enabled phone to enter or exit without taking a ticket, bypassing the payment station entirely. Multiple access classes are configurable: unlimited, time-restricted, day-of-week, or event-based.
The integrated 24 GHz microwave sensor detects vehicle presence at a configurable range of 1 to 20 feet (0.3 to 6 m). Detection is reliable regardless of vehicle color, ambient light, rain, or fog. The sensor wakes the console from idle, suppresses ticket double-dispense, and coordinates with the barrier arm controller to prevent gap-following tailgating.
An integrated HD camera with wide-angle lens captures a still image of each transaction: vehicle, license plate, driver, and console screen state. Images are stored and linked to the transaction record in the monitoring platform, enabling rapid investigation of disputes, lost tickets, or fraud claims. Night operation is supported via the integrated IR illuminators.
Each console houses an 8-port Gigabit PoE switch, eliminating the need for a separate switch at each lane. The barrier arm, LPR camera, and optional intercom all receive power and data through a single Cat 6 home-run cable to the main IDF. This reduces installation complexity, lowers cabling cost, and simplifies troubleshooting.

All console models are manufactured by Automated Machines and carry appropriate electrical safety certifications for the US market. The enclosure IP56 rating is verified to IEC 60529. Impact resistance IK7 is per IEC 62262.
The access control software is compatible with standard US parking management system integrations. The Wiegand interface enables connection to third-party access control systems. RS485 and RS232 support a wide range of peripheral integrations.
The entry and exit consoles share the same enclosure, display, processor, and network hardware. The functional difference is in the ticketing subsystem and the direction of transaction flow.
The same hardware supports Traditional (ticket), Contactless (LPR only), and Hybrid (LPR + ticket fallback + Face Parking) modes. The operating mode is a software setting managed remotely from the monitoring platform. No physical modifications are required to switch modes. A facility can run different modes on different lanes simultaneously, for example LPR-only on a VIP lane and ticket-based on general lanes.
Entry consoles include a QR ticket thermal printer. When a vehicle arrives, the driver presses a button and receives a QR-coded paper ticket recording the entry timestamp. Exit consoles include a QR ticket reader. When the driver presents the paid ticket, the console validates payment with the central server and opens the barrier. Both models include the same LCD display, Mifare reader, microwave sensor, HD camera, and audio system.
Yes. The Console 8 and Console 17 use 1000-nit high-contrast LCD panels with full anti-condensation lamination technology, making them clearly readable in direct sunlight at midday. The Console 21 uses a standard-brightness LCD panel and is intended exclusively for covered or indoor parking structures where direct sun exposure is not a factor.
All outdoor console models carry IP56 (protected against high-pressure water jets and dust ingress) and IK7 impact resistance ratings. Standard operating temperature is 14 degrees F to 104 degrees F (-10 to 40 C). With optional forced ventilation the range extends to 122 degrees F (50 C). Humidity tolerance is 10 to 80 percent non-condensing.
Base models use galvanized steel enclosures, which provide solid corrosion resistance at a lower price point. Plus models use stainless steel enclosures, offering superior resistance to harsh coastal or industrial environments, a polished premium appearance, and better tolerance of aggressive cleaning agents. All internal components, display technology, and feature sets are identical across Base and Plus within the same screen size.
Yes. The optional subscriber and monthly permit module (ref LSCMCG-2, $700 per console) enables Mifare card or NFC phone tap for subscriber bypass. Subscribers enter and exit without taking a ticket or visiting the payment station. Multiple access classes are supported: unlimited, time-of-day restricted, day-of-week limited, or event-based. LPR-based subscriber access (plate-only, no card required) is available in Contactless and Hybrid modes.
Yes. Bidirectional IP voice intercom is an optional license (ref LSCINF-1, $550 per console). Drivers press the call button to speak with an attendant at the management booth or remotely via any device with the monitoring application. The intercom runs over the existing Ethernet infrastructure and requires no additional cabling.
Yes. When the console is idle between vehicle transactions, the screen displays a configurable slide show or video loop. Content is managed remotely through the monitoring platform without any on-site visit. This idle screen space is commonly used for facility branding, tenant advertising, event promotions, or safety messaging. The physical enclosure can also be wrapped in custom vinyl to match your corporate colors.
